/// PUNTO PUNTO plaid and blankets for Lanificio Leo. With the fabric PUNTO PUNTO we went further on our research about the concept of abstraction of the sign in figurative representation of jacquard fabric, that we began with the PUNTO PECORA. The cardboards which are mounted on the Jacquard loom are very long stripes of perforated rectangular sheets, interconnected, that are needed to transfer the graphic information during the weaving process. Every single sheet, made by three parts, defines the instructions for one weft insertion. We have selectioned just one part of a sheet from the cardboards we use to weave the PUNTO PECORA. The pattern made by the holes of this cardboard, magnified and repeated, gave shape to a new pattern that contains, once again, a small part of the Lanificio Leo trademark, but this time the figurative form of the lamb is pure concept.
