MANAO / Borsa per Up To You Anthology. Manao è una borsa dal carattere forte e dal disegno netto. Poche semplici pieghe danno struttura ad una borsa che racconta una storia di collaborazione e di saper fare tipicamente italiano. Il manico è realizzato nella varietà di giunco Manao, da cui la borsa prende il nome, selezionato e rifinito da Bonacina1889, azienda nota in tutto il mondo per i suoi esclusivi arredi in giunco e midollino. Il feltro è prodotto da Feltrificio Gusmini, che da più di 100 anni realizza feltri in lana tessuta di qualità superiore, utilizzando insostituibili telai d’epoca accanto a macchinari di ultima generazione. Il cuoio è lavorato in Toscana, territorio da sempre noto per i pellami, e confezionato da esperti artigiani del luogo. Il tessuto della pochette è prodotto da Torri Lana 1885, fornitrice delle più importanti aziende nel mondo del design, attiva da più di un secolo in un distretto famoso per la realizzazione di tessuti fin dal Medioevo. La borsa Manao racconta un pezzo della storia produttiva italiana, racchiusa in una linea dal carattere grafico senza tempo. Manao è disegnata in due taglie, entrambe pensate sia in feltro che in cuoio. Nelle versioni in cuoio la pochette è estraibile. Design Studiocharlie + Odàmi. /// MANAO / Bag for Up To You Anthology. Manao is a bag with a strong character and a clean design. A few simple folds give structure to a bag that tells a story of cooperation and typical Italian know-how. The handle is made in the variety of rattan called Manao, from which the bag takes its name. The Manao canes are selected and refined by Bonacina1889, a worldwide known company for its exclusive rattan furnishings. The felt is produced by Feltrificio Gusmini, which for more than 100 years has been making wool felts of superior quality, using unique vintage looms next to brand new machinery. The leather parts are made by expert local craftsmen in Tuscany, a territory that has always been known for the processing of hides. The fabric for the clutch bag is produced by Torri Lana 1885, supplier of the most important furniture companies in the world, active for more than a century in a district famous for the production of fabrics since the Middle Ages. The Manao bag tells a piece of Italian production history, enclosed in a line with a timeless graphic character. Manao is available in two sizes, both of which can be in felt or leather.
