L’ispirazione viene dal materiale, lastre in graniglia di marmo che condensano la forza creatrice della natura e l’istinto dell’uomo di trasformare e costruire. Il basamento dei tavoli è un elemento primordiale che risveglia la fascinazione dell’uomo per la materia. La geometria è semplice, equilibrata, potente. Lo stesso elemento, replicato e riproporzionato, fa da basamento a tavoli bassi e tavoli alti. Il vetro temperato dei piani consente allo sguardo di soffermarsi su queste strutture essenziali da ogni angolazione. The inspiration comes from the material, marble grit slabs that condense the creative force of nature and man’s instinct to transform and build. The base of the tables is a primordial element that reawakens man’s fascination with matter. The geometry is simple, balanced, powerful. The same element, replicated and re-proportioned, acts as a base for low and high tables. The tempered glass of the tops allows the gaze to focus on these essential structures from every angle. SUBACQUEI / Consolle e tavolino per galleria Luciano Colantonio. Una consolle e un tavolino dalle geometrie primordiali, realizzati con materie che richiamano le profondità oceaniche. Il ferro delle strutture ha una finitura realizzata per immersione che attraverso reazioni chimiche protegge la superficie dalla corrosione. Questo processo industriale è utilizzato in questo caso per dare al materiale un aspetto forte, cangiante, imprevedibile. È come se gli oggetti fossero rimasti sui fondali marini a lungo, e la salsedine e gli elementi naturali se ne fossero appropriati, lasciando il loro segno, trasformando la materia e modificando il colore. I piani sono in vetro trasparente blu mare. La luce li attraversa e colora le strutture, vira le irregolarità cromatiche sui toni freddi. Sono oggetti ancora immersi nel mondo subacqueo. La consolle e il tavolino SUBACQUEI sono disegnati per la galleria Luciano Colantonio di Brescia, attiva dal 1989 e specializzata nell’arredo italiano degli Anni ’30, ’40 e ’50, e in particolare nelle opere di Ponti, Caccia Dominioni, Albini, Gardella e Borsani. Nella galleria vengono esposti periodicamente artisti contemporanei. /// SUBACQUEI / Console and coffee table for Luciano Colantonio gallery. SUBACQUEI (underwater) is the name of a console and a coffee table made from primordial geometries, using materials that recall the ocean depths. The iron of the structures has a chemical immersion finishing that protects the surface from corrosion. This industrial process is used in this case to give the material a strong, iridescent, unpredictable appearance. It is as if the objects had remained on the seabed for a long time, and the saltiness and natural elements had left their mark, transforming the material and modifying the colour. The tops are in sea blue transparent glass. The light passes through them and colors the structures, turning the chromatic irregularities into cold tones. They are objects still immersed in the underwater world. The SUBACQUEI console and coffee table are made for the Luciano Colantonio Gallery in Brescia, active since 1989 and focused on Italian furniture from the 30s, 40s and 50s, and in particular on the works of Ponti, Caccia Dominioni, Albini, Gardella and Borsani. The Gallery periodically hosts contemporary artists.

Poche semplici pieghe danno struttura ad una borsa che racconta una storia di collaborazione e di saper fare tipicamente italiano. Il manico è realizzato nella varietà di giunco Manao, da cui la borsa prende il nome, selezionato e rifinito da Bonacina1889, azienda nota in tutto il mondo per i suoi esclusivi arredi in giunco e midollino. Il cuoio è lavorato in Toscana, territorio da sempre noto per i pellami, e confezionato da esperti artigiani. La borsa Manao racconta un pezzo della storia produttiva italiana, racchiusa in una linea dal carattere grafico senza tempo. Manao è disegnata in tre taglie. A few simple folds give structure to a bag that tells a story of cooperation and typical Italian know-how. The handle is made in the variety of rattan called Manao, from which the bag takes its name. The Manao canes are selected and refined by Bonacina1889, a worldwide known company for its exclusive rattan furnishings. The leather parts are made by expert local craftsmen in Tuscany, a territory that has always been known for the processing of hides.
